As an award-winning writer, champion public speaker, and Columbia University Dean’s Fellow, her training, experience, and skills span across professions and genres. In addition to two years of college teaching experience, other writing credentials include: eight years in print and online publication; five years in entertainment marketing for Broadway and beyond; and five years in theatre.  Ayvaunn is also a three-time winner in public speaking competitions with National Management Association and Health Occupation Students of America. Her strong written and oratory skills also earned her first place in Louisiana Tech University’s Graduate Research Symposium. These accolades are supported by three degrees focused in writing: a BA in English from Austin College, an MA in Speech-Theatre from Louisiana Tech University, and an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University.
